A Clean Space Is Your Happy Place

We try hard to keep our environment clean, for fresh air, less pollution and climate change. But on a more personal level, we should have clean place for ourselves at home.  Two simple and effective things to keep in mind are your bed and your shoes.

Home Is Where You Lay Your Head

Pay attention to your bed. We sweat when we sleep, so pillowcases and bedsheets become dirty. Since we stay in bed for at least 8 hours overnight, we actually breathe the dirty air!

So keep your bed clean. Wash pillowcases and bedsheets weekly to kick any dirt and bacteria to the curb.

Old bedding tends to collect dirt and grime, so it's best to replace them, at least once a year is a good rule of thumb.

Choose soft, comfortable sheets in one of your favorite colors. Sleeping on new sheets is a great little luxury with the immediate boost in comfort and fresh air.

Nice Kicks

Shoes are some of the dirtiest items you'll ever keep in your house. Take them off and leave them near the front door so they don't track in all the unknown unknowns from outdoors. Clean your shoes often to wash off the buildup.

Replace older shoes if washing them proves to be ineffective.

Clean, well kept shoes will keep your house clean and your feet happy, and a nice pair of kicks always leaves a good impression for friends and strangers alike.
